We moved into the area from Brookline about a year ago. Our big thing is finding a place that has good pizza that isn't smothered in grease (hard to find right?!). Well, we decided to try Gianna Via's...we are glad that we did! Pizza is phenomenal! Anytime we decide to order pizza and wings, we always choose Giannia Via's. Price is slightly higher than surrounding pizza joints, but the quality is far superior and well worth the money. We are foodies, so we have no issues paying for quality and consistency. Pizza is never greasy, always topped with fresh sliced provolone (not the mass produced shredded cheese), just a really good slice of pizza. Have yet to try anything else, but it's in the works! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Went for breakfast for Father's Day and our waitress recommended the buffet special for $15. Four out of the six of us decided to get the buffet and were all dissapointed. The food was very mediocre and half of it look as though it had been sitting out for hours. Very small selection for the price, we were all very disappointed. The other two people in our group who ordered off the menu had very good meals. Our service was also very good.
I stop by for breakfast not really sure what I wanted my server Anne really help me decide. She suggested the waffle sandwich, so I decided to try it. It was really a waffle turned into a sandwich. It was delicious and it also came with potatoes on the that were cooked just right. I had no choice but to take half home it was just way too big to finish. I really enjoyed my experience. My server was very helpful and friendly, food was great, and the restaurant was very clean. I will definitely be back.
Had a GREAT evening at Gianna Via's last night! Not only do they have great food, great cocktails, and a fun atmosphere, but Tony, Linda and Matt made our night extra special!
Had reservations for 6:pm on a Saturday for my fathers 75th birthday. Ten of us. We show up to find nothing was available. They told us another large group took the spot that we would need. 45 minutes went by and the seated many people. They could have just combined some tables to accommodate us but I guess that was not possible. The manager just said sorry. I was confused why we made a reservation and it wasn't honored. Fortunately for us, we made a call to another restaurant and they were more than happy to make something work. We should have never tried this place as they obviously can't handle large groups.
We love the food and service at Gianna Via's, which are both consistently excellent. They are definitely our favorite local restaurant! I also feel compelled to recognize and thank them for their extremely generous support of TJ Baseball for the last several years with our fundraising efforts.
I have been going to Gianna Via restaurant for the last few months on Fridays. They serve a lobster bisque and 1/2 sandwich (panini) that is out of this world. To make it even better for me, they have gluten free bread and will make the lobster bisque gluten free as well. My new "best" restaurant.
First time visiting the restaurant. Very comfortable atmosphere for our lunch. We enjoyed our food and the server was very friendly. There were so many choices it made it hard to decide what to order. Looks like you may be able to accommodate a group for an adult party. Will be contacting the restaurant for more information. If you care able to do that it may be nice to see online what you offer.
I love the red pizza! It is awesome! I love the hamburger sliders with sweet potato fries! I love Blue Moon with a slice of orange for $3 on Thursdays! I like the chocolate raspberry martini! I love the fact that I can sit in the bar by myself and watch sports and drink my Blue Moon with a slice of orange and eat some really awesome food at a cozy little table! I like the fact that I can order a pizza to take home; my roommates were really pleased with the pizza with 1/2 red onion and 1/2 pepperoni; it's a little pricey but awesome tasting! It is a nice atmosphere in the bar; it's nice that you can sit outside but I prefer the coolness and a darkness of the bar! It's just real cozy! I love it! Keep up the good work!
I was at Gianna Via's yesterday for my lunch break with 4 colleagues. Normally they rave about the food and experience, however yesterday was not a good visit and it was only my 2nd visit to the restaurant. Our food took over 40 minutes to arrive at our table and we had to immediately box it to go and get back to work. Upon finally opening my soup, I noticed a large black speck which turned out to be a flying insect. I took photos and contacted the store through email and have not received any follow up contact. I have to say I am VERY disappointed overall.
Ok, so I've been there twice this week. They have redeemed themselves. I love the beet salad. 1/2 price apps were excellent and pasta yum! Service was much better this week! Thank you, please keep it up!
Great customer service and great food! Beautiful presentation and you can't beat 1/2 priced apps at the bar!
Eat at the restaurant 3 times the first time I had ribs they were complete fat no meat what so ever today we were there and had reubens's with hardly any near at all on them for $9:00 each it was terrible.
It was little pieces of meat on them a damn shame to serve them to customers and expect them to come back.
Try Armstrong's you'll see a real sandwitch.
Very disappointed the price for what you get.
Great place to eat! Love their chips and pizza!!
